It also features ARC (Audio Return Channel) compatibility, allowing direct connection to an ARC-enabled TV. This makes it an ideal solution for outputting audio to an external speaker system with analog or optical inputs, especially for audio systems without HDMI inputs.

It allows you to extract embedded audio from an HDMI source or directly from an ARC-compatible TV, and output the audio separately through either a stereo connector or a digital optical SPDIF connector.
